Appetite
A coaching program to help you understand what's really driving your relationship with food – and give you practical tools to change it.
The Methodology
Three areas of focus – each one building on the last.
Reduced Food Noise
Silence the constant mental chatter about what to eat, when to eat, and how much. When food stops occupying your mind, everything else gets easier.
Body Trust
Reconnect with your hunger and fullness signals. Your body already knows what it needs – coaching helps you hear it again.
Compassionate Resilience
Build the ability to handle stress and difficult emotions without reaching for food – so you respond to yourself with care, not out of habit.
How We Work
Alongside conversation and coaching techniques, I use NLP – Neuro-Linguistic Programming – to help you understand and shift the patterns driving your relationship with food.
Many patterns around food – emotional eating, reaching for food when stressed, the urge to restrict or compensate – happen below conscious awareness. They're not character flaws. They're learned responses your brain has practised over time.
NLP works by helping you identify these deeper patterns and create new, more helpful ones. Rather than relying on willpower, you start to understand why a behaviour exists – and from there, you can begin to change it.
It's a forward-focused approach. We're not spending years unpacking the past. We're asking: what do you want instead, and how do we get you there?
Clients often notice:
- check_circle The urge to eat when stressed or bored starts to ease
- check_circle Food choices feel less loaded and easier to make
- check_circle Old triggers don't pull as hard as they used to
- check_circle More space between the urge and the response
- check_circle A calmer, less critical inner voice around food and body

What is Food Noise?
Food noise is the constant mental chatter around food – thinking about what to eat, when to eat next, or craving specific foods even when you're not physically hungry. It's often driven less by the body, and more by stress, habits, and emotions.
When stress, boredom, or anxiety kick in, the brain looks for a quick way to shift how you feel. Food is fast, easy, and reliable. It provides short-term relief, even when the body doesn't need fuel.
In that moment, it works.
But the relief doesn't last. This is where the loop forms:
eat to relieve the feeling → feel temporary relief → realise you weren't hungry → the feeling comes back → repeat.
Over time, this loop can actually increase stress. Eating without hunger can bring frustration, guilt, or a sense of being out of control – adding more pressure to an already stressed state.
So instead of reducing stress, it builds it.
Physical hunger builds gradually, is felt in the body, and is satisfied by eating. Food noise is driven by the mind – it can feel urgent and persist even after eating, because it's not really about food.
Coaching helps you step out of this loop by identifying what's actually driving the urge to eat. When you address what's underneath – not just the food – the noise starts to settle.

Understanding Food Noise
The constant mental chatter about what you should and shouldn’t eat isn’t greed or weak willpower. It’s a pattern – and patterns can change.
The Power of Body Trust
Body trust isn’t a leap of faith. It’s rebuilt slowly, by listening to signals you were taught to ignore.
The Myth of Willpower
If willpower were the answer, it would have worked by now. The problem was never how hard you were trying.
